Sara Ahmed received her Msc. degree from Nile University in 2014 and her Bsc. degree in computer science from Ain Shams University, Egypt, in 2011. From 2014 to 2016, she was a PhD student at Potsdam University, Germany, working in extracting fiducial points under presence of occlusion. Previously, she was a research assistant at NU. Her research was in "Vehicles detection and tracking in very crowded scenes". In September 2013, she was an intern at Speech & Sound Group in Sony Deutschland GmbH - Stuttgart, Germany for six months. Her internship was in "character recognition in natural images". She did another internship in Technical University of Berlin (TUB) working on "sensitivity analysis and understanding the representation of the network" and her work there is added to her master thesis. Her current objective is to work on an important research work/study in an institution which provides professional development, interesting experiences and personal growth.
Main areas of research: machine learning, neural network, deep learning, computer vision and image processing.
